Brian Blum, the son of a Venezuelan immigrant, started in the restaurant business at 14 years old bussing tables and washing dishes at the York Steak House in Natick MA. Growing up in the business and later graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Hotel Restaurant and Travel Administration, Brian was following his passion of great food and customer service. Brian went on to work for Houlihan's Restaurant group, Darryl's division, in Raleigh NC where he rose to General Manager. Brian then went to work for Ragazzi's, A Golden Corral Company, and Applebee's where he worked for 7 years rising to an Area Director. 2003 Brian decided it was time for a change and he opened his first Gecko Hospitality office. One year later, Brian bought his second franchise, purchasing the rights to Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. As the business has grown, Brian has brought on partners to help further penetrate the market.Brian is an active leader in Rotary. He is an avid chef with a passion for food and wine. Brian has a passion for running, cycling and golf. On weekends, Brian enjoys competing in Road Races, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
