Like many in the hospitality business, Mike started in restaurants as a young adult, working as a busser, server and prep cook. He graduated from Colorado State University with a business degree and moved to Aspen to start focusing on his hospitality career. While working in the fast paced resort restaurants, he eventually became Executive Chef of Guidos Restaurant for the next seven years. Mike then went on to pursue catering and the private chef industry.
He joined Gecko Hospitality in 2015, and works with Gecko Partner Bob Gates, recruiting for the state of Illinois.
Mike enjoys developing relationships with candidates and is intuitive and passionate about finding people with talent, integrity and energy, also working with clients to find the best match.
Besides enjoying the beautiful mountains of Colorado, Mike is an avid traveler and enjoys seeing what the world has to offer.
