Valerie Sprague came to us with a successful track record and is a valued asset to the New York Team. Valerie has over 1o years of experience in the Restaurant and Retail Management field and knows the importance of finding the right candidate for the right job. Valerie worked as a Store Manager in high volume stores for Starbucks, Toys R Us, and Sears, and as well as a Floor Manager for Ruby Tuesday.

Training and developing employees have always been a passion of Valerie's. She values her staff and makes it a priority to always look for the next talent and helps them develop professionally into their next role. Achieving results as a team and challenging each other made her stores profitable and notable. Valerie was also the store manager trainer for all new hires. It was her priority to ensure the new hires had the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in their role and served as their mentor as they continued to develop.

With a thriving environment, Valerie's stores were top in sales and operations. As a result, she was selected as Starbuck's Manager of Quarter and nominated for Manager of the Year in 2015. With Valerie's experience and passion for the industry, we know she will excel in matching talented people with great companies. She loves finding the ideal client & candidate pairing.

Outside of work, Valerie enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. She enjoys reading, puzzling, and baking. As a family, they spend time camping, hiking and hot air ballooning. One of their family traditions is being part of a hot air balloon crew team, which involves the setup and take down of the balloon in Western New York.

Kevin Kalstad with Gecko Hospitality took all of the leg work out of identifying and pre-screening any potential candidates, allowing me to continue to focus on operations while looking for a new General Manager.
