Overview
A well-established, mission-driven institution is seeking a Nutrition Systems Manager to lead menu database management, nutrition services, and systems integration for campus dining operations. This position ensures accuracy in ingredient tracking, recipe management, nutritional labeling, and online menu visibility across multiple platforms. Ideal candidates will be tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting quality food service through data-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
Menu & Nutrition Management
- Oversee the CBORD Menu Management system and ensure accurate database integrity for recipes, inventory, allergens, and nutrition details
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary leadership to ensure menus align with current ingredients and dietary needs
- Maintain and update web-based menu and nutrition portals (NetNutrition)
- Generate and deliver operational reports for leadership review
Systems & Inventory Oversight
- Manage day-to-day data entry and troubleshooting across CBORD, POS (MICROS), and inventory systems
- Establish and maintain best practices for recipe updates, purchasing, inventory control, and labeling
- Support the development and integration of sustainability data and local product tracking
- Coordinate training and support for point-of-sale and food service software systems
Training & Support
- Lead training sessions for staff on system use, reporting, and database maintenance
- Cross-train team members to support food access, procurement, and reporting functions
- Attend industry conferences and stay up to date on best practices and software updates
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, food service, nutrition, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing menu management software
- ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain)
Preferred:
- Direct experience with CBORD Foodservice Suite and POS systems such as MICROS
- Prior experience in institutional or large-scale dining environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, nutrition labeling, and inventory systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data handling
- Ability to troubleshoot system errors and train others effectively
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with occasional flexibility based on operational needs
