Role Overview
As the Assistant General Manager, you will serve as the right-hand to the General Manager and play a key role in daily restaurant operations in Dallas, Texas . You will actively lead both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience while driving financial results and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Restaurant Leadership & Shift Management: Direct daily operations, manage the flow of service, and confidently step into full operational ownership when the General Manager is unavailable.
- Guest Service: Ensure all guests receive responsive, friendly, and exceptional service. Resolve escalated guest concerns quickly and professionally.
- Team Development: Play a pivotal role in recruiting, hiring, on boarding, and training top-tier talent. Coach and develop supervisors, shift leads, and hourly staff.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor purchasing, receiving, and inventory. Support the General Manager in controlling costs, analyzing sales trends, and reducing waste to optimize profitability.
- Administrative & Payroll Support: Assist with weekly payroll, accounts payable, scheduling, and labor management to meet operational goals.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, labor, and food handling regulations. Maintain excellent working condition of all restaurant equipment.
Core Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of restaurant management experience with strong background in both FOH and BOH operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Point of Sale (POS) systems, basic math, cash handling, and reconciliation procedures. Experience managing scheduling, payroll, and cost control systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for coaching and team building.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 10 hours) and the stamina to work 45 to 55 hours per week.
- Certifications: Must possess valid food safety certifications and stay up-to-date on all regulatory requirements.
- Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
