Gecko Franchisee Brian Blum Receives Ageless Hero Award
Fort Myers-based hospitality recruitment company Gecko Hospitality is proud to announce that Brian Blum, CPC, franchisee for Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, has been honored by SearStone as the Ageless Hero Person of the Year. SearStone is a continuing care retirement community located in North Carolina. The Ageless Hero Awards program honors individuals and organizations that provide exemplary service to Wake County seniors. Because of Brian's dedication, SearStone can reach more people.
Blum has been with Gecko Hospitality for 10 years. Additionally, he serves as the volunteer organizer for Memory Café. Memory Café provides a safe and welcoming environment for people with Alzheimer’s or other dementia and their caregivers. The project involves five local Rotary Clubs and the support of Alzheimer’s NC and the Town of Cary. Blum has also recently embarked on another type of heroic venture. Recently, he ran in the 2016 Boston Marathon to raise money for Dana Farber and Cancer Research.
“We are very proud of Brian and the time and effort he donates to the community, and also supports the causes which are near and dear to his heart,” commented Robert Krzak, CPC, CERS, President of Gecko Hospitality. He is, therefore, an extremely valuable asset to the Gecko team in a variety of ways. As a result, he is a team leader.
The Second Annual Ageless Hero Awards banquet is on May 17 to recognize Blum and other Ageless Hero Awards recipients. For more information about Gecko Hospitality, its philosophy and franchisees, please visit GeckoHospitality.com.
