Job Summary
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational and financial performance. This role leads both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, manages budgets and staffing, maintains service and hospitality standards, and collaborates with culinary and bar leadership to deliver a consistent, high-quality dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar areas
  • Lead, train, coach, and develop staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain high team morale
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of hourly and management staff
  • Collaborate with culinary and bar leadership to ensure quality, consistency, and timely service
  • Monitor labor, inventory, and operational costs to meet financial and performance goals
  • Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally and efficiently
  • Enforce company policies, operational standards, and health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Analyze operational reports, KPIs, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a strong visible presence on the floor during service, leading by example
  • Plan and execute special events or promotions as needed to drive revenue and guest engagement
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service, or upscale dining environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Proven ability to manage labor, costs, and operational budgets
  • Knowledge of food, beverage, and bar operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in upscale casual or full-service restaurants with bar operations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and service recovery expertise
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff while maintaining operational standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and financial reporting
