Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Revenue for our 120+ room full-service, luxury, independent hotel in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee. Our Director of Revenue will be responsible for maximizing the hotel’s revenue and profitability by ensuring optimal pricing, inventory management, and effective forecasting strategies. This role involves analyzing market trends, competitor data, and historical performance to develop and implement revenue-generating strategies tailored to the property’s goals. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, innovative, and have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute revenue management strategies that align with the hotel’s budget and performance targets.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, booking patterns, and competitor pricing to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Optimize inventory and pricing across all distribution channels, including direct bookings, OTAs, and third-party partners.
  • Lead the development of accurate forecasting models for demand, occupancy, and revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment of strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable recommendations to improve key metrics such as RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy.
  • Utilize revenue management systems and tools to track performance and identify areas for growth.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership, detailing revenue performance and upcoming strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Our Director of Revenue will operate in an office environment within the hotel and may occasionally require attending meetings or events outside typical business hours.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue management, working in a full-service or luxury hotel/resort, preferably an independent hotel or resort.
  • Proficiency with revenue management software and tools such as STR, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies, distribution, and reservation systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Opera is required.
  • Knowledge of IDEAS, Lighthouse, and other revenue systems is preferred.
  • Experience managing distribution channels, including OTAs, GDS, and direct booking platforms.
