Job Description

Purchasing & Warehouse Manager

Location: Burbank, CA

Salary Target - $80,000 - $95,000


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing Management

  • Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of food, beverage, packaging, and operational supplies for multiple airport concepts.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Implement purchasing controls, cost tracking, and inventory forecasting to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with airport and company policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to pricing, delivery, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and maintain adequate stock levels for all locations.

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, organization, and dispatch of goods to airport outlets.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, product flow, and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar software, ensuring all movements are tracked and reconciled.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners, suppliers, and airport operations to ensure timely inbound and outbound deliveries.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Enforce all food safety, health, and security standards in compliance with TSA, FDA, OSHA, and other regulations.
  • Ensure all warehouse and procurement activities adhere to airport security protocols, including restricted area access and identification badge requirements.
  • Lead and develop warehouse and purchasing staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Maintain records for audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined experience in purchasing, inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably within airport or food & beverage environments.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, food safety standards, and vendor management.
  • Proven success negotiating with suppliers and managing multi-unit procurement.
  • Proficiency with inventory control systems, Excel, and purchasing software (e.g., WMS, ERP, or POS-integrated systems).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in fast-paced, high-compliance environments.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
