Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager is the second in command for front of house leadership and plays a key role in ensuring service excellence, team development, and operational consistency. This is a hands on role that supports daily and weekly restaurant operations including planning, training, coaching, scheduling, cost controls, and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate leads by example, supports the team during peak shifts, and balances hospitality with strong operational execution.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience and Service Leadership
• Ensure every guest receives friendly, responsive, and welcoming service
• Lead the floor during peak volume to drive speed, accuracy, and hospitality
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure service recovery
• Maintain a fun, energetic, and positive guest atmosphere
Team Leadership and Development
• Serve as a role model across front of house positions
• Support training, coaching, and development of hourly team members
• Assist with building future leaders through consistent feedback and mentorship
• Maintain accountability with fair and consistent corrective action when needed
Operations and Standards
• Ensure food and beverage are prepared and served to brand standards
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the restaurant
• Support scheduling, shift planning, and operational checklists
• Complete reports, forms, reviews, and schedules accurately and on time
Cash Handling and Controls
• Follow all cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting procedures
• Support operational controls related to receipts, deposits, and documentation
Inventory and Cost Management
• Assist with beverage ordering, receiving, inventory, and cost control
• Help monitor expenses and support profitability while protecting the guest experience
Compliance and Safety
• Follow all local, state, and federal labor, health, and safety requirements
• Help ensure a safe work environment for both guests and team members
Qualifications
• Must be 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
• 2 or more years of restaurant experience in an hourly or leadership role
• Strong food, beverage, and service knowledge
• Able to operate a POS system and handle basic math and cash procedures
• Able to stand for extended periods up to 10 hours
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical restaurant tasks
• Comfortable working 45 to 55 hours per week
• Required certifications must be obtained prior to employment based on local requirements
