Sous Chef - Upscale Restaurant & Events Space



Columbia, Maryland | Up to $62,000 base salary


Role Overview


We're looking for a skilled Sous Chef to help lead kitchen operations at our upscale restaurant and events center. You'll uphold high culinary standards, support banquet and event execution, and keep the team running smoothly during every service.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily prep, line production, and food quality standards
  • Support execution of private events and banquet service
  • Lead and coach kitchen staff during service
  • Monitor inventory, reduce waste, and assist with ordering
  • Enforce sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness protocols


Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Strong knowledge of high-volume, upscale kitchen environments
  • Dependable team leader who performs well under pressure
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
