Dining Room Manager – New York, NY

Position Summary:
The Dining Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house service operations in an elevated, fine dining environment. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, seamless service execution, and strong team leadership while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, polished, and efficient service during all dining periods
  • Supervise, train, and develop service staff including captains, servers, hosts, and support team members
  • Maintain exceptional guest relations by anticipating needs and delivering a refined, personalized dining experience
  • Oversee daily floor operations, including seating flow, pacing, and service coordination
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen leadership to ensure precise timing and flawless execution of service
  • Uphold service standards, etiquette, and presentation consistent with a high-end dining experience
  • Manage reservations, table assignments, and guest special requests to maximize satisfaction and efficiency
  • Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of front-of-house staff
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and ongoing coaching to ensure alignment on service expectations
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications:
  • 3–6 years of front-of-house leadership experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments
  • Strong knowledge of service standards, wine/service etiquette, and guest experience management
  • Proven leadership ability with experience training and mentoring service teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain composed and detail-oriented in high-pressure environments
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
