A well-established Italian restaurant in Staten Island, NY is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, and the ability to drive operational excellence across front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food, service, and cleanliness.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, servers, hosts, and support staff to achieve operational and service goals.
Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor costs while optimizing efficiency.
Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and resolution of concerns.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation, and consistency.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage cost controls to maintain profitability.
Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive marketing, promotions, and community engagement initiatives to grow the restaurant’s presence.
Prepare and analyze reports related to sales, labor, and operations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in Italian or upscale casual dining.
Strong leadership and team development skills with a hands-on approach.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals.
Knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and budgeting practices.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
