Job Summary
The Executive Chef is responsible for leading all culinary operations and setting the creative and operational direction of the kitchen. This role ensures the consistent execution of high-quality, Italian-inspired cuisine while overseeing menu development, kitchen management, cost control, and team leadership. The Executive Chef plays a key role in maintaining culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all back-of-house culinary operations, including daily service, prep, and special events
- Develop, execute, and refine menus featuring classic and contemporary Italian cuisine
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, portion control, and flavor across all offerings
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and retain a skilled culinary team
- Manage kitchen scheduling, staffing levels, and labor efficiency
- Oversee food costs, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to meet budget goals
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with ownership and management on menu pricing, concept direction, and operational strategy
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef roles
- Strong background in Italian cuisine and scratch cooking
- Proven experience with menu development, cost control, and kitchen financial management
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, high-standards environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Passion for quality ingredients, consistency, and guest satisfaction
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills
- Experience with seasonal menus and regional Italian cooking
- Knowledge of fresh pasta, sauces, and traditional preparation techniques
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to balance creativity with operational discipline
