Job Summary
The Restaurant Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations while delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role plays a key part in leading team members, maintaining service and operational standards, driving financial performance, and ensuring a positive, high-energy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily service
- Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of hourly and management staff
- Help drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency through effective labor and cost controls
- Ensure consistent execution of food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and brand expectations
- Partner with the General Manager on scheduling, payroll, and staffing levels
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction and loyalty
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination to support cost management
- Review operational reports and KPIs, assisting with action plans to improve performance
- Step into the General Manager role as needed to ensure continuity of leadership
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a full-service or high-volume dining environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Working knowledge of labor management, food cost control, and basic P&L concepts
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting multi-unit or hospitality group operations
- Guest-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence
- Ability to train, coach, and promote internal talent
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
