Kitchen Manager – Westbury, NY

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment. This role ensures consistent food quality, strong kitchen execution, and strict adherence to food safety standards while leading and developing a large culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient production, timely service, and consistent food quality
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff including line cooks, prep cooks, and porters
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the kitchen
  • Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency across all menu items
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to control food costs and minimize waste
  • Monitor kitchen labor, productivity, and efficiency to meet operational and financial goals
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth and timely service execution
  • Conduct regular line checks, quality assurance reviews, and equipment inspections
  • Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of kitchen team members
Qualifications:
  • 2–5 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
