Ronnie Sanchez was born and raised Albuquerque, NM. As a kid, his passion was Aviation and Food. He decided to go to college at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. While working at restaurants to pay for college, he found a calling. He graduated from ERAU, however, never work in the aviation industry. Starting his career as a lead line cook, then went to a sous chef, then a banquet chef, and eventually an executive chef. His first EC position was at a private country club called Plum Creek in Castle Rock, CO. Later, he moved into the hotel business and started a position at Lone Tree Golf Club and Hotel. In 2002 he was one of two Americans to be invited to work at El Bulli for the 6 months they were open that year. At the time, El Bulli was the best restaurant in the world.
When he returned, Ronnie held upper management titles at many great hotels, to include, Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, AK, Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe, NM and opened Koa Kea in Kauai as Executive Chef as well as The Westin and Wildwood Hotels in Snowmass/Aspen, CO. He also was the culinary director at Stowe Mountain Lodge in Vermont and Garden of the Gods Resort & Club in Colorado Springs.
Ronnie brings a wealth of knowledge in the restaurant and hospitality industry. His passion is traveling and experiencing new things as well as food-beer-wine. When he's not traveling or eating, Ronnie spends copious amounts of time with his wife and daughter.
