I first collaborated with Gecko Hospitality in 2014 as Urban Plates was preparing for aggressive growth in California. With a base count of two locations, we needed an experienced recruiting partner to help us build restaurant leadership teams consisting of General Manager, Chef, Sous Chef, and Manager at each new location. Gecko helped us define the ideal candidates for each of our management positions, including experience level, success traits, and compensation ranges. Since that time in 2014, we have opened 10 locations throughout California and thanks to our partnership with Gecko, we were able to meet our talent needs at each of these openings.
