Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team at a fast-paced, high-energy seafood restaurant. The AGM will be responsible for assisting in managing daily operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role requires a hands-on leader who excels at multitasking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver excellent guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that the restaurant adheres to all safety, health, and cleanliness regulations.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure that all team members are equipped to provide the best guest experience.
  • Manage inventory control, including tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling and staffing for peak hours, special events, and daily service needs.
  • Monitor and control labor costs and other operational expenses to meet or exceed budgetary goals.
  • Assist in overseeing the financial aspects of the restaurant, including cash management, accounting, and reporting.
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives to drive sales and attract new guests.
  • Foster a positive work environment and team culture focused on service excellence and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other leaders to implement operational improvements and ensure consistency in quality and service.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management, with a focus on both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, guests, and management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle challenging situations with poise and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, inventory management, and other operational tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
