Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality? We’re seeking a Director of Finance to join our team at a stunning resort nestled in the breathtaking Lake Tahoe region. Just 40 minutes from Reno, NV, this property offers an authentic mountain-town lifestyle with world-class skiing, hiking, and outdoor adventures right at your doorstep—complete with a complimentary ski pass! As the Director of Finance, you’ll lead the daily operations of the accounting department, overseeing payroll, income audits, accounts payable, and the general ledger. You’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting leadership with timely reporting, cash flow management, and actionable financial insights.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and deliver timely reporting, leveraging metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow for the resort.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with resort owners through prompt reporting, responsive communication, and active participation in key meetings.
  • Collaborate with the HOA board on shared expenses and allocation strategies.
  • Lead the year-end audit process, managing reconciliations, coordinating with auditors, and securing final approvals.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensuring robust oversight and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and partner with department managers to review performance.
  • Interpret financial data and propose strategies to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting process, ensuring precision and timely delivery.
  • Enforce budget compliance by reviewing funding requests prior to approval.
  • Seamlessly integrate development-related financial activities with operational reporting for clarity and transparency.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 3–5 years of hospitality experience with complex properties, including food and beverage operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with a solution-oriented mindset and prior supervisory experience.
  • Confidence and expertise in presenting financial information to ownership.
  • Experience collaborating with HOAs and HOA boards.
