Position Overview:

As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in our kitchen operations, working closely with our Executive Chef to ensure the smooth running of the culinary department. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
  • Overseeing and managing kitchen staff to maintain a productive and efficient operation
  • Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to continually innovate and elevate our menu offerings
  • Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership position
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high-volume kitchen
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
  • Creativity and a passion for culinary excellence to contribute to menu development
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
