About the Role:
The Area Leader of Training (ALT) is a market-level leader responsible for supporting the execution of training programs across multiple restaurants. This role serves as a cultural ambassador and subject matter expert in training, coaching, and development. Working closely with business unit leaders and operations teams, the ALT ensures that both crew and management teams are equipped to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Training Leadership
- Oversee crew and management-level training execution across assigned restaurants
- Conduct restaurant visits to evaluate training effectiveness and operational consistency
- Facilitate certifications, training sessions, and compliance courses including ServSafe
- Develop and support high-performing training restaurants within the market
- Lead internal development strategies for crew and management advancement
- Partner with openings teams to ensure readiness and excellence for new restaurant launches
Strategic Business Support
- Collaborate with Area Business Unit Leaders to identify training needs and performance gaps
- Provide regular analysis and reporting on restaurant training performance metrics
- Support succession planning and internal promotions through talent readiness evaluations
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with operations, HR, and recruiting teams
Requirements for Success:
- 3+ years of restaurant or hospitality leadership experience; multi-unit or training experience preferred
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels
- Able to travel extensively across the assigned territory (up to 100 percent)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
