Job Description
Front Office Manager
Southwest Florida (Gulf Coast)
Full-Time | 40 Hours
This isn’t a plug-and-play role. It’s a challenge for builders. Doers. Fixers.
An independently owned resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast is in the middle of a major growth spurt—doubling its footprint and trying to bring order to the beautiful mess that comes with it. There’s no corporate blueprint here, no instruction manual. Just a growing business with sky-high potential that needs a smart, savvy hospitality pro to help stabilize and scale.
If you’ve ever wished you could take everything you’ve learned in branded hotel ops and finally do it your way—this is your shot.
What’s the Deal?
- This is an island resort with a loyal guest base and massive potential—but limited structure.
- You’ll oversee the full scope of guest-facing operations: front desk, housekeeping, and the link between revenue and experience.
- You’ll work elbow-to-elbow with the GM to bring brand-level polish and sales-first energy to a resort that’s hungry to evolve.
- You’ll have the freedom to build processes, teach your team, and leave your fingerprints on every piece of the guest journey.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Revenue from the Front Desk – Lead a team that knows how to sell, not just smile.
- Rebuild Operations – Bring structure, systems, and consistency where there’s currently... well, not enough.
- Lead with Flexibility & Vision – Work closely with ownership and the GM to influence major decisions, including tech transitions and staffing models.
- Bridge Departments – Housekeeping, front desk, and guest satisfaction all live under your umbrella.
What You Bring
- Experience with major hotel brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.)—you know how top-tier properties run, and you’re ready to bring that DNA into an independent setting.
- Proven track record of driving guest satisfaction and sales at the front desk.
- Comfort in fast-moving environments and building systems from scratch.
- Knowledge of PMS systems—Cloudbeds and/or Opera experience is a bonus.
- Leadership in both front office and housekeeping operations.
- A sleeves-rolled-up mindset and a desire to grow with a business that’s still writing its playbook.
The Perks
- Flexibility: You’ll build your own 40-hour schedule (weekday preferred).
- Growth: This resort is scaling fast, and the right person will grow with it.
- Autonomy: You’re not stepping into a system—you’re helping to create it.
- Benefits: Health/dental coverage coming soon.
If you’re tired of rigid hotel hierarchies and ready to leave your mark on something real, let’s talk.
This is the kind of opportunity that rarely makes it to job boards—because it’s not for everyone. But for the right person? It’s a career-maker.
