We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts in Raleigh, NC. This pivotal role involves managing and mentoring a team of account managers while driving business development, fostering client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence in the event rental industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of account managers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure each member achieves their sales targets and personal goals.
  • Strategic Sales Management: Create and implement sales strategies, processes, and plans to drive revenue growth and meet company objectives.
  • Process Optimization: Establish and maintain structured sales workflows and methodologies to enhance team efficiency, client management, and overall operational consistency.
  • Networking & Business Development: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through industry events, outreach, market research, and networking initiatives.
  • Industry Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the event rental industry to anticipate client needs, deliver exceptional solutions, and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners, ensuring a strong reputation for quality service and trust.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to achieve consistent sales growth.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, with at least 5+ years of experience managing a team of sales professionals, preferably account managers or sales managers.
  • Extensive experience in the event rental or event services industry, with an in-depth understanding of its sales cycles, client demands, and operational challenges.
  • Strong ability to design and execute sales processes and workflows that deliver measurable results.
  • Highly skilled in business development, networking, and relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team toward common goals.
  • Analytical mindset with competence in using key sales metrics and data to drive decision-making and enhance performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
