Job Description
General Manager – Upscale Italian
This isn’t a “plug and play” GM role.
A well-known, upscale independent restaurant in Florida is gearing up for a total reinvention—new energy, a refreshed menu, and a full brand reboot. The team already has deep roots and a strong legacy, but it needs a true operator to step in, take the reins, and help reimagine the next era of success.
We’re looking for a General Manager who’s more than just organized and polished—we need someone who leads from the floor, knows how to rally a team, and treats hospitality like a craft. If you’ve ever walked into a restaurant and instantly raised the temperature (in a good way), read on.
This Role Is for You If You:
- Walk the floor like you own the place—even if you don’t… yet
- Can build team morale without cheesy pep talks
- Balance wine pairing and P&L mastery with equal skill
- Know how to work with chefs, not around them
- Don’t just manage—you transform
You’ll Be Tasked With:
- Partnering with a top-tier Executive Chef to relaunch a respected brand in a saturated, competitive market
- Elevating service, retraining staff, improving guest flow, and setting new hospitality standards
- Driving the business with eyes on both the guest experience and the bottom line
- Becoming the cultural heartbeat of the restaurant—a leader guests trust and teams rally behind
What’s On the Table:
- $125K–$130K base salary
- Full medical/dental
- Equity opportunity for someone who proves they’re all-in
- A real seat at the table to impact branding, experience, and operational direction
- The chance to lead a respected concept into its next, more energized chapter
Who We’re Looking For:
- A GM or AGM with proven experience in upscale, chef-driven restaurants
- Strong leadership presence—authentic, not robotic
- Financially sharp (labor, COGs, budgeting, forecasting)
- Deep understanding of hospitality trends, local competition, and how to stand out in a crowded scene
- Bonus if you’ve helped with a concept launch or reboot before
The Big Picture:
This isn’t just another GM gig—it’s a rare opportunity to help build something. If you’ve got the vision, the energy, and the operational chops to take a great restaurant and make it unforgettable, this is your moment.
