Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in casual or fine dining.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and food safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including skill development and performance training.
- Adept in menu planning and execution.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Culinary degree or professional certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a dietary department or with special diets is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
As the Sous Chef at our casual dining restaurant in Fort Worth, TX, you will:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
- Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a cohesive and motivated team.
- Oversee the quality, presentation, and consistency of all dishes leaving the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to refine menus and introduce innovations.
- Manage inventory, monitor supply levels, and ensure timely orders to avoid shortages.
- Ensure the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance.
- Step in to assist with food preparation and cooking as needed.
- Uphold the brand’s standards and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.
