We are seeking an experienced and driven Restaurant General Manager to lead the operations of a fast-paced, high-quality Japanese ramen and izakaya-inspired restaurant in Lake Grove, NY. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring that both the guest experience and operational efficiency are consistently top-notch. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Monitor restaurant performance, track KPIs, and adjust operations to meet financial and service goals
  • Manage all aspects of staffing, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, in collaboration with the kitchen team
  • Maintain inventory control and manage ordering, stock rotation, and supplier relationships
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty
  • Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints professionally, and continuously improve guest satisfaction
  • Manage budgeting, labor costs, and financial performance to meet profitability goals
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Support the overall brand culture, promoting a commitment to excellence and hospitality at every level
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in high-volume or specialty dining environments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, especially in the context of Japanese cuisine and culture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
  • A background in ramen or izakaya dining is a plus
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
