Position Summary:

The Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business, managing the sales pipeline, and nurturing client relationships to increase revenue and market share. The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the Charlotte event and entertainment market. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, strategic thinking, and a passion for music and the events industry.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the Charlotte-area events market, including venues, event planners, corporate clients, and private individuals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.


Sales & Client Management:

  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and attending local events and trade shows.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from the sales process through the event execution.


Marketing & Brand Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral and promotional materials.
  • Represent the company at industry events, mixers, and networking functions to promote our brand.
  • Gather client testimonials and case studies to support sales efforts.


Administrative & Reporting:

  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and client database using a CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales or business development role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Charlotte, NC market, particularly within the events, hospitality, or entertainment industries.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A passion for music, entertainment, and events is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
