Job Qualifications
To excel as the Director of Food and Beverage in Fargo, ND, candidates must bring a wealth of experience, innovation, and passion for exceptional service. The ideal candidate will:
- Possess culinary training and/or experience in a fine dining establishment.
- Have a proven track record of managing budgets for multiple departments.
- Showcase the ability to analyze and interpret complex activities within the business.
- Demonstrate highly developed communication, influencing, and negotiation skills for interactions with guests, vendors, and corporate clients.
- Exhibit excellent comprehension and hearing skills for effective communication via phone and in-person.
- Possess strong administrative vision and organizational skills for tasks like forecasting, budget reviews, and invoice approvals.
- Be adept at both verbal and written communication.
- Have a genuine interest in hospitality, with a focus on making guests feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for.
- Actively collaborate in team environments.
- Prior experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards is advantageous.
Job Responsibilities
As the Director of Food and Beverage, you will contribute significantly to the success of the property in Fargo, ND, and lead the Food and Beverage team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing operations for Catering, Kitchen, Restaurant(s), Room Service, and Lounge(s).
- Ensuring customer satisfaction for all stakeholders, including guests, employees, and corporate owners, while maintaining financial targets.
- Collaborating with the property leadership team on budgeting, financial forecasts, and decision-making.
- Assist department managers with inventory oversight and accurate tracking.
- Assuming the role of “Manager-on-Duty” during rotating weekends.
- Executing guidance and coordination with the Hotel Executive Committee to enhance food and beverage standards and guest experiences.
