Job Summary
The Restaurant Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily food and beverage operations while delivering a high-touch, elevated guest experience. This role helps lead service teams, ensures operational excellence, and supports financial and administrative functions within a dynamic, member-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all daily restaurant and food & beverage operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination
- Support hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of service and support staff
- Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure consistent execution across all dining areas and events
- Partner with the General Manager to manage labor, payroll, and cost controls
- Oversee service execution during peak periods, private events, and special functions
- Address guest and member concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Support inventory management, purchasing, and vendor coordination
- Review operational reports and assist with implementing performance improvement plans
- Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General Manager
Qualifications
- 3+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience, preferably in an upscale dining or private club environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and guest-relations skills
- Working knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and cost controls
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Skills
- Experience in private clubs, banquet operations, or event-driven environments
- Strong floor presence and service recovery abilities
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for professionalism and consistency
- Ability to balance operational demands with personalized guest service
