Overview

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations. You’ll lead a team of managers, ensure exceptional guest experiences, manage financial performance, and maintain a positive, compliant workplace—especially within a unionized environment. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational areas: restaurant, bakery, café, and retail store
  • Maintain the income statement, ensuring profitability and operational accuracy
  • Uphold building standards, aesthetics, and maintenance across all departments
  • Lead and develop a team of four managers, fostering a culture of growth and high performance
  • Innovate and implement continuous improvements in workflow, service, and product offerings
  • Ensure compliance with union rules while nurturing strong employee relationships
  • Partner with cross-functional departments for cohesive leadership and brand alignment
  • Maintain exceptional operational standards, guest satisfaction, and team engagement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of General Manager experience in high‑volume or multi‑unit hospitality environments
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive performance
  • High emotional intelligence, exceptional communication skills, and confidence in public speaking
  • Proven track record of building, mentoring, and retaining strong teams
  • Culinary understanding with the flexibility to adapt to frequent menu changes
  • Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred
  • Visionary, proactive leader with the ability to innovate and operate independently
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and committed to operational excellence
