Global Sales & Membership Manager
Location: Onsite | Downtown Chicago
Compensation: $120,000 Base Salary + 20% Bonus Potential
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Global Manager of Membership & Sales to drive corporate transient and group business revenue. This is a high-impact, onsite role focused on the downtown market, designed for a "hunter" mentality with the ability to nurture long-term relationships.
Reporting to the Global Director, this individual will be responsible for expanding market share across our portfolio, including identifying outbound opportunities for domestic and international locations. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in multi-property sales, successfully increasing year-over-year bookings through aggressive prospecting and strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute comprehensive sales action plans to exceed revenue goals. Focus heavily on acquiring new corporate accounts (tech, finance, government, and education sectors) for individual travel, group room blocks, and events.
- Account Management & Expansion: Maintain and grow relationships with existing member accounts to ensure repeat business. Negotiate and execute group contracts and transient RFPs that align with hotel revenue targets.
- Lead Generation: Utilize industry intelligence tools (Demand360, Agency360, Cvent, Costar, ZoomInfo) to qualify leads and uncover new business opportunities.
- Multi-Market Selling: Proactively identify and cross-sell opportunities for other properties within the collection, ensuring maximum revenue capture across the brand.
- Sales Activity: Conduct consistent prospecting calls, outside sales visits, site tours, and client entertainment. This role requires up to 50% travel for customer-facing meetings and market support.
- Systems & Reporting: Leverage Salesforce and Ivvy to manage pipelines, track activity, generate agreements, and analyze market trends to provide feedback to leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience, specifically in a multi-hotel environment.
- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in direct sales, lead discovery, and closing complex agreements. Strong understanding of business transient and group sales cycles.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with Salesforce and hotel catering/sales platforms (e.g., Ivvy) is highly desired.
- Education: 4-year college degree preferred.
- Professional Attributes: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels. Must be a self-starter with polished presentation skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
