Our client is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant General Manager to lead a successful upscale dining concept in Livermore CA. This role is ideal for a driven hospitality professional who excels in high quality service environments, builds strong teams, and delivers consistently outstanding guest experiences.

About the Role

As the Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee all front of house and back of house operations. You will ensure the restaurant operates smoothly, meets financial goals, and maintains the elevated standards expected from a refined, chef driven concept. This position requires excellent leadership, strong business acumen, and a polished, guest focused presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations to ensure flawless execution and exceptional hospitality
  • Recruit, train, and coach team members to uphold service and operational standards
  • Create and maintain a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
  • Manage budgeting, labor controls, inventory, and cost management
  • Ensure consistent food quality, timing, and presentation in partnership with the culinary team
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and a hospitality focused approach
  • Develop systems that support efficiency, consistency, and long term success
  • Drive sales growth through community engagement and service excellence
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor and lead by example during peak service times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of restaurant management experience with at least 1 year as General Manager or AGM in upscale or polished dining
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Proven experience managing labor, food cost, inventory, and operational systems
  • Exceptional guest service standards and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain calm, confidence, and professionalism in high volume situations
  • Strong understanding of financial performance metrics and operational strategy
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
