Gecko Hospitality is partnering with a Forbes-rated luxury waterfront resort on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to identify a strategic and detail-oriented Marketing Manager.
This premier coastal resort is recognized among the top destination properties in the Mid-Atlantic and delivers a refined, experiential guest journey including golf, spa, marina access, curated programming, and elevated culinary experiences.
The Marketing Manager will play a key role in positioning the resort’s luxury brand voice across digital, print, and on-property channels.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality marketing professional seeking hands-on ownership of campaigns, media relations, website strategy, and CRM marketing within an upscale resort environment.
Position Overview
The Marketing Manager leads the coordination and execution of all on-property marketing initiatives. This role partners closely with agency teams, revenue management, sales leadership, and resort operations to ensure brand consistency, content accuracy, and timely campaign rollout.
The ideal candidate understands luxury hospitality marketing, digital strategy, content development, and public relations, and is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced resort setting.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Website Management
- Oversee resort website updates including seasonal offers, packages, and event promotions
- Partner with SEO agencies to align on-page content with keyword strategy and search performance
- Maintain site accuracy, imagery, and user experience standards
- Develop and publish blog content highlighting seasonal experiences and local partnerships
Email & CRM Marketing
- Create and deploy email campaigns through CRM platforms such as Revinate
- Manage guest database segmentation and list hygiene
- Produce newsletters, promotional campaigns, and pre-arrival guest communications
- Support confirmation messaging and automated guest journey touchpoints
Media Relations & Public Relations
- Serve as the on-property liaison for media inquiries and press visits
- Coordinate influencer stays, media FAMs, and photo/video shoots
- Develop itineraries and host media partners during property visits
- Track coverage results and provide performance recaps
Package & Campaign Development
- Collaborate with Sales and Revenue teams to develop and launch promotional packages
- Align marketing initiatives with occupancy goals and seasonal demand
- Update or sunset offers based on business performance and strategy
Brand & Collateral Management
- Maintain on-property collateral and digital guest messaging
- Oversee creative assets including photography libraries and media galleries
- Support print advertising initiatives and community partnerships
- Ensure brand standards are maintained across all guest touchpoints
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of marketing experience within hospitality, luxury hotels, or destination resorts
- Experience working with digital agencies, PR firms, or brand partners
- Proficiency with WordPress, CRM/email marketing platforms, and social media tools
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design platforms preferred
- Strong understanding of SEO strategy and digital content optimization
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced resort environment
- Understanding of luxury guest expectations and experiential travel marketing
Compensation Package
- Competitive base salary of $60,000 – $65,000
