Gecko Hospitality is partnering with a Forbes-rated luxury waterfront resort on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to identify a polished and service-driven Lobby Ambassador.

This premier destination resort is recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences rooted in refined coastal hospitality. We are seeking a hospitality professional who understands that first impressions define the guest journey and who thrives in a high-touch, luxury environment.

Position Overview

The Lobby Ambassador serves as the “Conductor of First Impressions,” ensuring every guest arrival and interaction reflects five-star standards. This role blends traditional Front Desk presence with proactive guest engagement, anticipating needs before they are voiced and delivering seamless service from arrival through departure.

This is not a transactional front desk role. It is a luxury hospitality position focused on emotional intelligence, anticipatory service, and brand-level professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests promptly with warm, polished, and professional presence
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively remove friction from the arrival experience
  • Execute Forbes Travel Guide-level service standards
  • Maintain a pristine, luxury-ready lobby environment at all times
  • Facilitate seamless “warm hand-offs” between Front Office, Bell Services, and Valet
  • Take immediate ownership of guest concerns and deliver effective service recovery
  • Offer personalized local recommendations and coordinate guest experiences
  • Partner with Front Office leadership to ensure consistency in service excellence

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years of guest-facing experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment
  • Experience in a Forbes 4-Star, 5-Star, or AAA Four/Five Diamond property preferred
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to read guest cues and adapt service style
  • Strong verbal communication skills with polished, articulate delivery
  • Detail-oriented with pride in maintaining immaculate surroundings
  • Knowledge of the local area and ability to provide tailored recommendations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong customer service background in hospitality, luxury retail, or upscale service environment
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with front office systems preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

What We Offer

  • $25.00 per hour
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off
  • Career development within a respected luxury hospitality portfolio
  • Opportunity to work in a Forbes-recognized resort environment

If you are passionate about luxury guest service and creating meaningful, memorable first impressions, we invite you to apply.
