Gecko Hospitality is partnering with a Forbes-rated luxury waterfront resort on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to identify a creative and detail-driven Marketing Coordinator.


This premier coastal destination is recognized among the top resorts in the Mid-Atlantic and delivers elevated guest experiences rooted in refined hospitality, experiential travel, and luxury branding. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting digital marketing, social media strategy, brand consistency, and on-property collateral execution.

Position Overview

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in executing initiatives that drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and bookings. This role blends digital marketing, social media management, website updates, content creation, and administrative coordination.


We are seeking a creative self-starter who thrives in a collaborative hospitality setting and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to execution.


Key Responsibilities

Digital & Social Media Marketing

  • Support social media strategy across platforms including content planning, caption writing, engagement, and community management
  • Create and curate visual content including reels, stories, and short-form video
  • Ensure brand voice consistency across all digital touchpoints
  • Assist with digital campaign execution and performance tracking

Website & Content Management

  • Update property website through CMS platforms including content edits and promotional updates
  • Coordinate imagery updates and maintain visual brand standards
  • Assist with online promotions and package positioning

Brand & Collateral Support

  • Coordinate design and production of on-property collateral including signage, flyers, menus, and promotional materials
  • Assist with presentations for ownership updates and sales initiatives
  • Organize and manage media libraries and creative assets

Administrative & Department Support

  • Support donation coordination, billing, purchase orders, and reporting
  • Assist with annual Sales & Marketing plan initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, revenue, and sales teams


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or hospitality marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital content strategy
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Canva or design platform experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced hospitality environment


Compensation Package
