Our organization is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue strategy for a premier luxury resort destination in Maui. This executive-level opportunity is ideal for a strategic sales leader who thrives in high-volume, upscale environments and understands how to position a property as the market leader in its segment.
The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) will drive group and transient revenue, with a primary focus on securing group business of 15 rooms or more, with or without meeting space. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Sales, this role serves as the face of the property—building relationships, strengthening brand presence, and executing a data-driven sales strategy that maximizes profitability.

Position Overview:
The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for full-cycle account development—from prospecting and relationship building to quoting, negotiating, contracting, and transitioning business to operations. This individual will strategically penetrate target markets, leverage membership directories (MPI, Helms Briscoe, etc.), and reactivate dormant accounts within established sales systems such as Delphi, SalesPro, STS, and CI.
This position partners closely with the on-property leadership team, Regional DOSM, and Revenue Management to ensure pricing integrity and strategic alignment. Upon securing business, the DOSM will input and price opportunities according to established guidelines, prepare high-level BEOs and group resumes, and ensure a seamless turnover to the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for all market segments
- Prospect and secure new group accounts while expanding existing relationships
- Collaborate with revenue management to optimize rate strategy and maximize RevPAR
- Represent the property at industry events, trade shows, and networking engagements
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and pre-convention documentation
- Lead market segmentation strategy and ensure financial performance targets are achieved
- Analyze production reports and adjust strategies accordingly
Compensation & Benefits:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of Director of Sales & Marketing experience in a hotel environment of 400+ rooms
- Proven experience marketing and positioning an upscale or luxury property
- Strong financial acumen with experience forecasting, budgeting, and revenue optimization
- Demonstrated success selling across all market segments
- Proficiency in Delphi, SalesPro, STS, and CI preferred
