Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary operations and ensure every dish meets our high standards of quality and consistency. You'll be responsible for managing all back-of-house operations, leading a talented kitchen team, and maintaining the food quality and safety standards that our guests expect from HopCat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely food preparation
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all menu items
  • Manage food cost control, inventory, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and food safety standards
  • Collaborate with management team on menu development and seasonal offerings
  • Handle scheduling, labor cost management, and kitchen staff performance evaluations
  • Maintain equipment, oversee kitchen cleanliness, and ensure proper sanitation procedures
  • Support high-volume service periods with hands-on leadership and problem-solving
  • Assist in training programs and kitchen staff development initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of kitchen management experience in high-volume restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations
  • ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of health department regulations and food safety protocols
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Passion for food quality and commitment to excellence
