Accounting Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all daily accounting operations for this upscale hospitality property. This key role ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and strong support for hotel leadership and corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger accuracy.
- Process and review bi-weekly payroll, including adjustments and departmental transfers, while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Manage invoice review, coding, payment processing, and resolution of vendor discrepancies.
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and departmental expense reviews.
- Review daily audits and prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for corporate leadership.
- Maintain cash controls, including daily deposits, house banks, safes, and the property checkbook.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, permits, licenses, and all regulatory requirements.
- Partner closely with hotel leadership, Corporate Finance, and HR to support operational and financial objectives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or financial administration (hospitality or hotel experience strongly preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of payroll processing, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based applications (experience with hospitality accounting or payroll systems is a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, analytical abilities, and clear communication across departments.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
