Reports To: Restaurant General Manager
Position Overview
The Restaurant Floor Manager is the second-in-command, serving as the primary operational leader when the General Manager is off. This is a "floor-first" role with minimal administrative tasks, requiring a leader who thrives in the heat of service rather than behind a computer screen.
Primary Responsibilities
- Floor Leadership: Oversee entire restaurant operations during shifts, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Hands-on Support: Actively assist with seating guests, running food, and supporting the service team during peak hours.
- Problem Solving: Rapidly resolve guest or operational issues to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the Bar Manager and General Manager to maintain high service standards and cultural authenticity.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of management experience in high-volume environments (400–800 guests/day).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a "team player" attitude are essential.
- Financial Literacy: A fundamental understanding of restaurant financials is required.
- Mentality: A "hands-on" approach with an open-minded attitude toward diverse team cultures.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $73,000 base + $5,000 in achievable quarterly bonuses.
- Vacation: 15 paid days initially; additional unpaid and paid days added at Year 1, 3, and 5 milestones.
