We are looking for a highly motivated Event Sales Manager to drive our private and corporate event sales in the Chicago market. You will take the lead in booking and managing a diverse portfolio of high-end events, ensuring exceptional experiences for our clients while meeting ambitious revenue targets. If you have a proven track record of closing large-scale event deals in Chicago, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive robust sales for private events, weddings, galas, bar/bat mitzvahs, and corporate gatherings.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry and venue tours to proposal creation, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, independent event planners, and industry vendors across the city.
- Collaborate closely with operations, catering, and culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Track sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system.
- Represent the venue at local networking events and industry functions to generate new leads.
Qualifications
- A proven track record of successfully managing and closing $2M+ in annual event sales specifically within the Chicago market.
- Extensive experience selling and coordinating a variety of events, including weddings, large-scale galas, mitzvahs, and corporate functions.
- An established network of local event planners, vendors, and corporate clients.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- A highly organized approach to managing multiple event files and client requests simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules and client tours.
