Restaurant General Manager – Staten Island, New York

Position Summary:
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of operations, driving financial performance, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in a high-volume dining environment. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can build strong teams, maintain operational excellence, and consistently achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all front- and back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless execution of service and kitchen performance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a management team and hourly staff to build a high-performing, guest-focused culture
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective P&L management, cost controls, and sales initiatives
  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience by maintaining high service standards and resolving concerns promptly
  • Monitor labor, food, and beverage costs to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Implement and maintain operational systems, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management for all team members
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Analyze key performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve results
  • Collaborate with ownership or senior leadership on business planning and execution
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience, with at least 2 years in a General Manager role
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and controlling costs
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large teams in a high-volume setting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and local health regulations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
