Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a well-developed team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily front- and back-of-house operations to ensure seamless service execution
- Lead, coach, and develop management staff and hourly team members to maintain high performance standards
- Uphold exceptional guest service by actively engaging with guests and resolving concerns promptly
- Support P&L management, including monitoring labor, food, and beverage costs to meet financial targets
- Oversee scheduling, staffing levels, and shift execution to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency
- Maintain and enforce company standards for cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure quality, consistency, and timely service
- Analyze operational performance and assist in implementing strategies for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in an upscale or high-volume environment
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Solid understanding of financial management, including cost controls and labor management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and local health regulations
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
