We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to champion culinary excellence and lead all back-of-house (BOH) operations at our Plano, Texas location. You will be the cornerstone of our culinary team, overseeing food production, managing staff, and ensuring the kitchen runs seamlessly. Job Overview:
As the leader of our kitchen, you will provide critical solutions for daily operations and team development. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Managing all BOH team members, daily operations, and food production for both the main dining and bar areas.
- Training, mentoring, and developing the Sous Chef for future growth.
- Providing clear direction to team members through consistent coaching, counseling, and performance feedback.
- Cross-training staff to evaluate, encourage, and expand their culinary knowledge across all kitchen stations.
- Supervising and actively participating in daily butchering and portion control to ensure premium quality and cost management.
- Fostering a positive environment that sets strict standards for top-tier food quality and kitchen cleanliness.
- Driving team development by actively interviewing and hiring BOH staff to consistently meet and exceed staffing goals.
- Taking full accountability for purchasing, including produce, seafood, and main food orders.
- Conduct accurate bi-weekly inventory in collaboration with your team.
- Working cohesively in a team-driven environment alongside all restaurant managers.
Qualifications
To succeed in this demanding and rewarding role, you bring a proven track record of culinary leadership:
- 2+ years of high-volume, full-service restaurant experience in an Executive Chef position.
- Mandatory butchering experience.
- Scratch kitchen experience is highly preferred.
- A warm, passionate, and committed approach to the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The proven ability to remain calm, cool, and collected under high pressure.
- A self-motivated and self-actualized mindset.
- Strict self-discipline and the maintenance of a highly professional appearance.
