Assistant General Manager – Restaurant | Brooklyn, NY

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a high-volume, fast-paced full-service restaurant in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving strong operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations
Lead FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service, consistency, and hospitality standards
Drive execution of service standards, training programs, and team accountability
Assist with scheduling, labor management, and cost control initiatives
Monitor food quality, guest satisfaction, and service recovery when needed
Support inventory management, ordering, and vendor communication
Help manage hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Step in as Manager-on-Duty as needed across all shifts

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Solid understanding of P&L, labor controls, and operational KPIs
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
Hands-on leadership style with a floor-first mentality
