General Manager – New Scratch Kitchen Concept | Leawood, KS

A growing, multi-concept restaurant group is opening a brand-new scratch-kitchen concept, and we're looking for a General Manager to help open it right and lead it from day one.

This is a true ground-floor opportunity. You won't be stepping into someone else's systems or someone else's team — you'll be building both, backed by a restaurant group that has spent well over a decade perfecting bold, inspired food and genuine hospitality across multiple states. Average unit volumes for this concept run between $4M and $6M, so this is a high-energy, high-volume kitchen built around scratch cooking,and a menu that moves with what's fresh.

What You'll Do

•       Lead daily front- and back-of-house operations, working hand in hand with your District Manager on financial performance, labor, and facility standards

•       Build a team and a culture from the ground up rooted in servant leadership — you lead by working alongside your team, not above them

•       Stay hands-on in the kitchen: this concept is scratch-made, so a genuine culinary background and the ability to run every station is essential, not optional

•       Drive hiring, training, and development for a brand-new crew

•       Own scheduling, guest experience, and day-to-day facility standards

•       Partner closely with leadership through the opening process and beyond

What We're Looking For

•       Proven restaurant management experience, ideally with a scratch-kitchen or culinary-forward, high-volume concept

•       A hands-on leader who can step onto any station — grill, sauté, bar — and lead by example

•       Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants to grow with an expanding restaurant group

•       Strong financial acumen; comfortable owning P&L performance, labor, and cost controls

•       A servant-leadership mindset — you build people up rather than command from a distance

Compensation & Benefits

•       $75,000 base salary, plus an achievable bonus structure worth up to 20% of base
