Assistant Manager – New Restaurant Opening | Pasco, WA

As an Assistant Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager to lead daily operations, develop team members, maintain operational excellence, and create a positive culture that drives both guest satisfaction and business success.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the successful opening and launch of a new restaurant location
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members
• Help build a positive, guest-focused culture from the ground up
• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Create and manage team schedules based on business needs
• Coach, motivate, and develop employees while holding the team accountable to performance standards
• Maintain exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality standards
• Conduct operational and quality assurance inspections to identify opportunities for improvement
• Monitor labor, inventory, and operating expenses to achieve financial goals
• Oversee inventory management, product ordering, and receiving processes
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards
• Support cash handling, banking, and financial controls
• Assist with administrative responsibilities including reports, documentation, and operational planning
• Serve as a leader on the floor by actively engaging with guests and supporting the team during peak periods

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience recruiting, training, and developing employees
• Ability to multitask and make decisions in a high-volume environment
• Knowledge of inventory management, scheduling, labor controls, and restaurant operations
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a new-store opening environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
• Experience with food safety and sanitation programs
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service regulations (where applicable)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and restaurant management systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
