Do You Love Hotels... and Winning?

We're looking for a General Manager who understands that hotels aren't just buildings with beds—they're living, breathing businesses where every occupied room, smiling guest, engaged team member, and glowing online review matters.

If words like Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, Flow-Through, Forecast, and GOP make your heart beat just a little faster, we should probably talk.

We're searching for a leader who can inspire a team, grow revenue, delight guests, control expenses, make budgets behave, and somehow still remember to compliment the breakfast attendant on the waffle station.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Driving occupancy without giving the rooms away.
  • Growing ADR without giving guests a heart attack.
  • Maximizing RevPAR like it's an Olympic sport.
  • Building accurate forecasts that don't rely on weather, wishful thinking, or magic.
  • Creating and managing budgets that ownership actually enjoys reading.
  • Finding new revenue opportunities before your competitors do.
  • Making sure every guest leaves thinking, "I'd absolutely stay here again."
  • Creating a workplace where team members actually want to come to work—and even more importantly, want to stay.
  • Recruiting great people, coaching future leaders, and celebrating wins while tackling challenges head-on.
  • Keeping the hotel in top-notch condition. If it squeaks, leaks, blinks, rattles, or smells funny... you'll make sure someone fixes it.
  • Working closely with Sales, Revenue Management, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Office to ensure everyone rows in the same direction.
  • Becoming a recognizable face in the Naperville community by building relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
  • Watching the competition closely—not because we're obsessed... but because we fully intend to beat the pants off the comp set.

The Ideal Candidate

You understand that success isn't measured by one metric.

It's Occupancy.

It's ADR.

It's RevPAR.

It's guest satisfaction.

It's team member satisfaction.

It's retention.

It's market share.

It's profit.

It's reputation.

And somehow... it's all happening before your second cup of coffee.

You know how to read a P&L without breaking into a cold sweat.

You believe that culture isn't a motivational poster—it's built one conversation at a time.

You celebrate great guest comments and treat poor reviews as opportunities to improve, not reasons to hide.

You know when to jump behind the front desk, help strip a room, carry luggage, plunge a toilet, calm an upset guest, or shake hands with the Mayor—all before lunch.

What Success Looks Like

  • Occupancy that consistently outperforms expectations.
  • ADR that keeps pace with market demand.
  • RevPAR that makes ownership smile.
  • Budgets that are met—or better yet, exceeded.
  • Forecasts that are respected because they're accurate.
  • Guest satisfaction scores that continue to climb.
  • Team members who recommend friends to work here.
  • Low turnover because people enjoy being part of the team.
  • A hotel that's clean, maintained, welcoming, and operating like a well-oiled machine.
  • A competitive set that's constantly wondering, "How do they keep doing that?"

Qualifications

  • Proven hotel leadership experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor, and profitability.
  • A passion for guest service and developing people.
  • Experience improving market share and driving revenue performance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to solve problems with confidence, professionalism, and occasionally a sense of humor.

Why You'll Love It Here

We believe hotels are powered by people.

We celebrate wins.

We learn from losses.

We value accountability over excuses.

We expect excellence—but we also believe work should be enjoyable.

Because if we're going to spend our days talking about Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, budgets, STR reports, labor percentages, guest scores, maintenance logs, and monthly forecasts...

...we might as well have some fun while we're busy beating the pants off the competition.

Think you've got what it takes?

Bring your leadership. Bring your business acumen. Bring your competitive spirit.

And maybe bring an extra pair of pants... because we're planning to leave the comp set without theirs.
