Job Description
Job Title: Regional Director of Operations | Extended Stay Portfolio
Location: Kentucky + Travel Out of State
Salary: $90K - $95K + Bonuses (DOE)
About the Opportunity:
We're looking for a Regional Director of Operations to oversee a portfolio of 12 extended stay properties across a few states. This role owns performance across the full portfolio: financial results, brand standards, guest satisfaction, and team development at each property. You'll work closely with individual GMs, setting the strategic direction and holding each property accountable to it.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operations across 12 properties ensuring consistency in guest experience, brand standards, and operational execution
- Own P&L performance for the full portfolio: budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting at both the property and regional level
- Hire, mentor, and manage property-level General Managers; build bench strength and succession plans across the region
- Drive training and development programs so GMs and their teams operate to a consistent standard
- Conduct regular property visits and audits to monitor guest satisfaction, physical condition, and staff performance
- Partner with marketing and sales leadership to build revenue strategies across the portfolio
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and demand patterns across both states to guide pricing and promotional strategy at each property
- Serve as the primary escalation point for property-level issues that GMs can't resolve on their own
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Hospitality Management or Business a plus
- Minimum 5-7 years hotel management experience, including at least 2-3 years in a multi-property or regional oversight role
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing budgets and P&L across multiple sites
- Proven ability to lead and develop other managers, not just individual contributors
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to hold GMs accountable while staying approachable
- Willingness to travel regularly
