AREA MANAGER – MULTI-UNIT RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

Base Salary: $80,000–$85,000 + up to 15% annual bonus

The Opportunity

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Area Manager to oversee 4–7 established restaurant and café locations throughout Jacksonville, Florida.

This is an opportunity to join an established hospitality brand with an existing operating system and experienced teams. The ideal candidate will maintain operational excellence while identifying opportunities to improve profitability, strengthen leadership, enhance the guest experience, and support continued growth.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this individual will provide hands-on guidance to General Managers and drive consistent execution across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Unit Operations: Oversee daily operations, maintain company standards, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across locations.

• Financial Performance: Manage sales, labor, food and beverage costs, budgets, and profitability, with a target gross profit margin of 40%.
• Leadership Development: Coach and hold General Managers accountable while supporting hiring, retention, training, and succession planning.
• Guest Experience: Maintain consistent hospitality, product quality, service standards, and brand execution.
• Operational Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, inventory controls, and company procedures.
• Strategic Improvement: Analyze performance, identify market opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Growth Initiatives: Support new location openings, training programs, menu launches, and other company initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit restaurant operations experience.
• Hands-on restaurant operator experience with a strong understanding of day-to-day operations.
• Proven success leading and developing General Managers and multi-location teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, labor controls, and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to improve sales, profitability, employee retention, and operational consistency.
• A practical, solutions-oriented leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning and field-level execution.
• Ability to travel between locations throughout Northeast Florida and work a flexible schedule as business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $80,000–$85,000.
• Annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 15%, tied to KPIs such as year-over-year sales growth, employee retention, gross profit, and successful new location openings.
